Graduation Requirements, Enrollment, and Credit Transfer

Credit Transfer Courses

Individual Courses, called Credit Transfer courses at NMTP may be taken by any student in New Mexico (or any other state).  Credit Transfer Courses work by having the student purchase the course and upon checkout, create a user account.  Upon checkout, you will be logged in.  Credit Transfer courses begin on the first day of the month and end on the last day of the second month.  Before the first day of the month, learners must log in and complete the NMTP Orientation Course- this is an online self-regulated course.  Upon completion, the student will attend a live session to prepare for the first day of the month.  During that session, we will answer any remaining questions, and get you ready for your course.

Credit transfer courses begin on the 1st day of the month following your enrollment (and they end on the last day of the second month), and AFTER you complete Orientation at NMTP.  So, if you desire to begin a credit transfer course on June 1, for example, you want to enroll no later than May 15 to give you enough time to finish Orientation.

Any of the courses in the catalog are available for credit transfer.

We do not recommend that you take more than two credit transfer courses during the term!

After You Complete

After you complete your Credit Transfer Course, we will send to your school, your official transcript, you do not need to request it.  However, we do recommend that prior to enrolling, you connect with your counselor at your campus to let them know you will be taking a Credit Transfer course.  Some partner school may provide you with a coupon code to use on checkout; so, check with your counselor about that as well.
